The virtual meeting held on Tuesday 26th January was hosted by Miller Frondigoun.  We were treated to songs and poems of our bard Rabbie Burns. Miller gave us the opportunity to carry out some exercises in the style of Burns based on several ideas 'a social evening with dear friends', 'advice to a young friend who will not take any notice of your advice', 'write a bitter complaint to someone in authority who angers you' and finally 'an agonising complaint about something which gives you great pain'. The group responded with some excellent pieces of work which they will consider expanding on for future writing.

We received some wonderful news from Kate and Morag who had been invited by our very own Marc Sherland to a virtual Burns supper attended by 126 guests from all over the world. Both Kate and Moraghad entered poems in which Kate received a commended and 3rd place and Morag received a commence for her entry, the group were delighted with they success and we were privileged to hear the poems at our meeting.

A reminder to the group that we have the deadline for the article 'Black Lives Matter'  to be sent to Kate no later than 2nd February but sooner will be appreciated. We also will have our Flash Fiction stories for 'The Light at the End of the Tunnel' for the same date.
