12th March 2019. Radio Advert for St. Patrick’s day event

There were a total of nine readings from the group, a variety of themes with humourous tones including a wee musical rendition from Morag and Kate...the Nolan Sisters have some serious rivals here.

Morag has been selected to deliver her sketch ‘Show don’t Tell’ at the forthcoming SAW event. Morag, Hilary, Donny, Wilma, Joan Fr and Myra gave the first run through of the sketch which was excellently delivered by the budding actors. Greatly appreciated by the rest of the group.

Myra read the first chapter from her novel ‘The Mystery of the Queen of the Inch’. She has whetted the groups appetite to find out what happens next.
Myra also produced her contemporary fiction book ‘The Lunch Club at George Square’

Jack read out his version of  ‘The twelve days of Brexit’ very poignant with all that has been happening in the political world.

Hilary did her reading for the forthcoming “The Dragon’s Pen”

There were open manuscript readings from Joyce (sneaking out to buy her cigarettes). Joan Fr read out a short piece about Elizabeth (Libby)Wilson pioneer to the family planning clinic in Scotland particularly in deprived areas. Kate read out a poem called Wisdom.

Hilary reminded the group to send her any agenda items for next weeks AGM by Friday 16th March at the latest

AGM will be held on Tuesday 19th March 2019.
