The group had their fourth virtual meeting of the session on 6th October 2020. This week we were joined by award-winning author, Linda Strachan. Linda has written over 70 books, including the bestselling Hamish McHaggis series. She also writes for older children and many educational titles.
The workshop today was aimed at writing for children under 11. A very informative presentation was delivered by Linda with several exercises with feedback to get our minds flowing. As well as writing for young children, Linda gave advice on writing for young adults. Her best piece of advice was read...read...read. Another excellent afternoon for the group. Thank you once again Linda.
