Tuesday's meeting welcomed our very own Mandy Sinclair who discussed her role as a librarian and the future of our libraries.We had a very informative meeting and Mandy brought to our attention the closing down of several libraries that are due for closure including Maryhill and Whiteinch. Libraries were also hit by the pandemic with closures to the public during lockdown. As restrictions were slowly lifted the libraries re-opened but with measured guidelines. Mandy informed us of various online apps that we can access for free that will allow us to access books and newspapers the latter through Press Radar which is free if you are registered with a Renfrewshire Library. We also got to see some of her illustrated work which confirmed what talent she has in this field.
A reminder to complete the form sent out last week, prior to next weeks meeting when we will be joined by Joe Meade.
