Garden Party 2016

What a lovely day we had for our end-of-session garden party at Sandra's beautiful home. The sun shone off and on and we managed to enjoy an alfresco buffet lunch in the pretty garden.

We all brought a tasty selection of different types of food which were set out on the large dining table and once we filled our plates, we sat and chatted to each other for a change, leaving the writing behind. This year, we were delighted with the delicious cold meats kindly provided by Robertson's Fine Foods of Ayrshire - thank you to them and to John for bringing the selection along.

The garden itself contained its usual delightful mix of colourful flowers and plants, with an enticing swing seat tucked away in a shaded corner on the lower level. After a busy and productive session at the writing group, this is always a highlight of the year that allows us to socialise with each other before the break for summer.

The new session will begin in September so keep an eye on the blog for details nearer the time.

Have a wonderful summer and don't forget to write an article on 'The Golden Age of Travel' for the the first meeting!
