Our meeting was around open manuscripts and there were plenty of contributions.
Lorna read a piece that the is planning to send to the Writers Forum Flash Fiction competition. the group agreed that it was worthy to send off (fingers crossed)
Donnie read his letter he has composed for Renfrewshire Planning Department 'Daring Do' very interesting piece.
Jeannie read the beginning of her short story 'The Rowan Tree' set in the 50s a really great piece of work.
Rob delivered another fine piece of writing 'Bell Book and Bottle Top'
Joyce gave us a very interesting article on the racing driver Sterling Moss and also read out a piece that she had written on entering competitions which the group found very helpful.
Next weeks meeting will see the visit of our second guest speaker Douglas Skelton who will be discussing how to approach writing a historical article.
