At todays meeting e received the results and critiques from the poetry competition set and adjudicated bu Sheila Templeton. Sheila was very fulsome in her praise of the high standard off all 12 entries.
The results were:
Commended; Rob with 'Family Tree"
Highly Commended; Hilary with 'The Wakening"
Third; Sandra with 'Resurrection'
Second; Jeannie with 'No one told the damsel flies'
First; Joan with "Father'
Congratulations to all the winners.
We all agreed that the feedback from Sheila was excellent clearly spending time and thought into all the entries.
We then heard from several of the group who had brought open manuscripts Hilary, Jeannie and Sandra all read extracts from the books that they are currently involved with and Joan read a couple of poems she had written.
